Mostak Ahamed Imran is a BAPT (British Association of Play Therapists)-approved International Professional Play Therapist (Reg No. 1386) and Educational Psychologist (BECPS No: G0024). He is also a Lecturer at the BRAC Institute of Educational Development, BRAC University. He has a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Educational Psychology from the University of Dhaka and an MA in Play Therapy from the University of Roehampton, London. He has completed an online diploma course on Community-Based Rehabilitation from Queen’s University of Kingston, Canada. He has also completed an MPhil degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Dhaka.
Mostak is the first and only BAPT registered Play Therapist in Bangladesh. He has expertise in module development, conducting workshops, training in organizations, and providing counselling sessions (individual and group) with adults and children. He has done several training sessions on Psycho-social support for different groups of participants. He also appears frequently in Radio and TV Programs to promote mental health services. He is currently working to spread play therapy for the disadvantaged children of Bangladesh. In the future, he hopes to work for the betterment of mental health services for the people of Bangladesh.
